Yup guys, the design's out. We'll collect it on April 10 (or 11th, since it has extended reccess). Those who haven't paid please pay before then. Also, the printer has given us a $0.50 discount for the additional words we added onto the back of the shirt =D! My thanks to Yon-Lu for the logo design, Min Seok and Daniel mark for helping me place the order. Take a look and have a good e-learning week ahead.

BBQ Thing

Posted by 1Inspire

Hi, sadly BBQ on Sat was canceled as not enough people came but that was because I came back too late and organized it too late too D= . As Clarence has already bought the charcoal, we'll buy it from him and wait until end of this term or earlier. But most likely we'll do it on the weekend before holiday starts, because after that most people will go on holiday. But next time for sure we'll plan 2 weeks beforehand and also we'll buy the food from class funds (If there is any).

Class T - Shirt & BBQ

Posted by 1Inspire

Hi guys, for the class T-Shirt it is delayed as MR. Tan is helping to look for cheaper printers. Also, the BBQ will most likely be on next Saturday at Clarence's/Jervan's place. Currently, I'm thinking of a pot luck thing. Other than that, please bring your relevant projects (CS, Science) tommorow.

8. Determine the value(s) of a for which the 9-digit number, 20072008a, is divisible by 44. State clearly the divisibility tests that you have used. [3]

Since , we check for divisibility for 4 and 11.

Test for divisibility by 4: a = 0, 4, or 8

Test for divisibility by 11: (2 + 0 + 2 + 0 + a) – (0 + 7 + 0 + 8) is a multiple of 11
4 + a – 15 is a multiple of 11
a – 11 is a multiple of 11

Test for divisibility by 11: (2 + 0 + 2 + 0 + a) – (0 + 7 + 0 + 8) is a multiple of 11
4 + a – 15 is a multiple of 11
a – 11 is a multiple of 11

Note: If only divisibility test of 11 is done with correct value of a, only M1 awarded.
